This book brought me to tears multiple times. ‘The Crossing’ by Manjeet Mann was an emotional
rollercoaster that I just couldn’t put down. It embedded a sense of reality which made the book
swim to life. Every character stood out, every character had their own story to tell. You felt their
every heartbreak, triumph and failure but you still root for them every step of the way. Through this
book, these characters become actual people trying to cope with life’s struggles. It felt so real. ‘The
Crossing’ is what defines a page turner.-R

A connection of friendship mixed with life-changing news.-N

A gripping book that captures feelings and perspectives from sad lives.

An emotional rollercoaster! If you don’t cry a river I don’t know who you are… A true page turner.-R

I love the structure and layout of this novel! The characters all play a special role and have their own story. The story has a beautiful message to it! (4.5/5)-A

This is a really good and beautiful novel written in verse about a girl called Natalie whose mum has recently passed away and her brother has joined a far right gang.  She feels like her like is falling apart.  Meanwhile Sammy is fleeing his home, and every step brings pain.  Then Nat and Sammy meet and bring each other hope.  I really enjoyed reading this book because I found it really inspiring and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good read.-E
