Our Theme this year is Armchair Travel

As we cannot travel so much in the real world at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic, we felt it was the ideal time to learn about lives in other countries by reading some great fiction! We have chosen two wonderful shortlists full of books which really give the reader a sense of life as it is experienced in some wonderful locations around the world, from Iran and Saudi Arabia to Japan and the forests of the Amazon, via New Orleans and the mountains of the Himalayas. Why not escape with a really good book and see where it takes you?
